Egress — technology for the most human things

Technology for the most human things.

01 — Why we exist

Your music became a feed.

Your software became a subscription.

Your gestures became transactions.

Egress is a software studio. We make small, sharp tools that hand the most human parts of life back to the people living it — the music you keep, the software you own, the gifts you give together.

Each one is built the same way: no ads, no tracking, no rented features — and engineering that treats your attention as something to protect, not to harvest.

02 — What we make
Available

Your server. Your music.

A self-hosted music player for your own library — Navidrome, Jellyfin, or any OpenSubsonic server. Gapless playback, EQ, offline listening. No ads, no tracking, no subscription: the player is quiet so the music isn't.

A house made of Windows.

They say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Fine — throw Windows apps in instead. Native on Apple Silicon, powered by Wine, no virtual machine, and the tools you already paid for keep working.

Gifts, given together.

Share a wishlist. Friends chip in a little each until the gift is real. Dibsy turns gifting back into what it always was — a group of people who care, doing one kind thing together.

03 — How we build
01

Owned, not rented

The software is a purchase. Only a running cost — a server, an address — could ever be a subscription, and what you own keeps working without it.

02

Quiet by design

No ads, no tracking, no engagement bait. Software should end the interaction, not extend it.

03

Small and sharp

One tool, one job, finished properly. We'd rather ship a scalpel than a platform.

04

Craft as respect

Gapless audio paths, native toolkits, real engineering under plain surfaces. The care is the feature.
